About Us
Kids Bolo has been on a mission to help children learn, connect, and thrive through meaningful Urdu language learning experiences since 2020.
As Pakistani Canadian parents, we experienced firsthand how easily language and cultural connections can fade across generations. When we couldn’t find the kind of engaging, developmentally appropriate Urdu language resources we wanted for our own children, we created them ourselves. What started as a passion project became KIDS BOLO®, a trusted brand serving thousands of families through books, classes, virtual camps and lots of Urdu learning resources.
At Kids Bolo Montessori, we bring that same philosophy and commitment to bilingual Urdu-English early childhood education. Our Montessori inspired environment nurtures independence, curiosity, creativity, and confidence through hands-on learning and child-led exploration.
We believe every child deserves a strong academic and social foundation. Our goal is to help children develop a lifelong love of the Urdu language while growing into capable, confident, and compassionate individuals.
Kids Bolo Montessori is led by Masooma Aftab. Masooma has 15+ years of professional experience working with children across organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club and YMCA, along with her experience as the founder of a children’s language learning brand, Kids Bolo. Over the years, she has traveled internationally to broaden her understanding of global communities, including volunteering experiences at an orphanage in Mexico and various schools serving underserved communities in Pakistan.
She has a Masters in Early Childhood Studies and a Bachelors in Psychology.
What is the Montessori Method?
The Montessori Method is an educational approach developed by Dr. Maria Montessori. It is based on the belief that children learn best through exploration, discovery and meaningful, hands-on experiences. By respecting each child’s natural pace of development, the Montessori approach fosters independence, confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
Instead of traditional teacher-led instruction, Montessori classrooms are carefully prepared with purposeful learning materials that invite children to explore concepts independently. Educators serve as thoughtful guides, observing each child’s interests, abilities, and readiness before introducing new lessons and offering gentle support when needed.
By honouring each child’s unique developmental journey, the Montessori Method empowers children to become capable, compassionate, and self motivated learners, preparing them with the skills and confidence to thrive both in school and in life.
